Studio Policy
Effective Date: August 30, 2024
By enrolling myself (or my child if the student is under 18) in the Trumpet Fundamentals studio, I certify that I understand and agree to the following studio policies:
-
The instructor will teach students the language of music in a positive and enthusiastic environment.
Their goal is to guide each student’s music education with input based on the student’s interest and long-term goals.
The instructor will tailor the curriculum to match each student's specific learning needs.
-
Students agree to arrive at each lesson punctually, well-prepared, and with their assignment books, music, and instrument.
To make good progress, daily quality practice is necessary.
Parents of students in grades 5-12:
Please ask questions about home assignments so that both you and your child can completely understand the assignments and goals.
If something is happening at home or school that is affecting your child please let your instructor know. The more information they have, the more they can be sensitive to the needs of your child.
-
Each student is responsible for purchasing the required music and materials for lessons.
Materials will be assigned by the instructor and the student will be expected to have the materials no later than two weeks after the materials have been assigned. Advanced notice will be provided whenever possible.
Students must have their own instrument to practice at home. If you have questions or would like input on the purchase of an instrument please let your instructor know. (Note: Your instructor will be more than happy to set appointments to meet the student and their family for instrument trials and make specific recommendations.)
-
All payments are non-refundable and will be billed at the start of the lesson.
All automatic payments will be run through Fons (www.fons.com).
If a payment is returned or declined a 48-hour window will be provided to adjust the payment method and resubmit payment.
Invoices paid after 48-hour will receive a $20 late fee per day.
Recurring late payments may result in the termination of the student’s enrollment in the Trumpet Fundamentals studio.
-
Lessons canceled with under 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full lesson fee - except in emergency scenarios on a case by case basis determined at the discretion of the instructor.
Lessons canceled with more than 24 hours’ notice will not be charged.
Lessons canceled by the instructor will be given as much notice as possible.
-
In the case of mild teacher illness, severe weather, or other conflicts, there may be an alternative option of online virtual. If the student opts out of the virtual lesson, that lesson will not be charged.
